FITTED SHELVES, BRIGHTON & SUSSEX
Built-in Alcove Shelving
& Bespoke Shelves
Alcoves, chimney breasts, awkward recesses. The spaces standard shelving never quite fits. I design and fit built-in shelving scribed to your walls, levelled to your floor, finished to look like it was always there.
Single alcove run or floor-to-ceiling wall, concealed fixings or visible brackets. Everything measured and fitted on site.
I specialise in built-in shelving and storage solutions fitted to the exact dimensions of your space. Scribed to your walls, levelled to your floor, finished to look like it was always there.

Why Standard Shelving Doesn't Work in Brighton Period Homes
Standard shelving units are designed for standard walls. Brighton's Victorian and Edwardian homes are anything but standard.
Alcoves that aren't square, chimney breast recesses with walls that bow, plaster that's built up unevenly over a century, push a standard shelf unit against any of these and the gaps tell the whole story. Visible fixings, uneven edges, shelves that don't sit level.
Scribing is what changes this. Every shelf bracket and support is cut and shaped to follow the exact profile of your wall, so the finished shelves sit flush, level and permanent, regardless of what the wall behind them is doing.
What's Included in Every Shelving Installation
