The Alcove Challenges I Work With Every Day
No two Brighton alcoves are the same. These are the conditions I encounter most often.
Chimney breast alcoves, rarely the same width, rarely square. Every panel scribed and fitted individually to each side.
Sloped ceilings, a 5cm drop across an alcove is invisible to the eye but obvious in the finish. I measure the slope and cut the ceiling infill to match.
Uneven walls, Brighton's older walls move and settle. Side panels are scribed to follow the exact wall surface, eliminating gaps a standard installation leaves behind.
Awkward corners and recesses, doorframe reveals, irregular depths, chimney breast returns.
Everything is measured on site before any units are ordered.
