The Uckfield Residence
Corner Built-In Wardrobe,

A floor-to-ceiling fitted wardrobe designed to sit flush into the corner of a modern bedroom in Uckfield. Four painted shaker doors, round oak handles and custom skirting fitted around the base to integrate the installation with the room's existing architecture.
The Project
This Uckfield installation was built for a modern home, a different brief to the period properties and Victorian alcoves that make up much of Finition's work, but the same standard of precision and finish throughout.
The client chose IKEA PAX hinged doors and wanted them painted in a deep terracotta clay tone: a bold, considered choice that transforms what could have been a functional storage solution into a genuine design feature of the room.
Josh painted the doors himself as part of the installation, ensuring an even, professional finish that coordinates exactly with the customer's brief.
What Made This Installation Distinctive
Custom painted doors: The IKEA PAX hinged doors were painted by Josh on site in a rich terracotta tone, prepared, primed and finished for a result that reads as a bespoke colour choice, not an IKEA standard.
Round oak handles: Round oak handles add a warm, tactile detail that complements the terracotta finish, a considered choice that lifts the whole installation.
Custom skirting at the base: Josh fitted skirting around the base to match the room's existing profile. The detail that separates a built-in finish from a wardrobe that was placed in a room, the eye reads it as furniture that belongs there.
Corner installation: The wardrobe sits flush into the corner, two walls, one seamless finish. Every panel scribed and fitted to ensure clean returns on both the wall and ceiling.
